Life Fitness at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics

Impressive one page website campaign for ‘Life Fitness’, the #1 brand of health club products worldwide,  to be held at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. This one pager is loaded with parallax animated images and sprinkled with a few interactive hot-spots Easter eggs. There was a lot of time and effort in getting this website right, and it shows. Congrats to Green Chameleon and the ‘Life Fitness’ Team.

Along with the obvious technical difficulties, we were also faced with catering for the Russian language in the design and build and the unforeseen issue of Yandex – a Russian browser. Yandex did not behave in the way we expected a Webkit browser to, meaning after V1 of the site was built we took it apart and rebuilt for this. Another issue was making the parallax scrolling effects responsive (down to tablet), and the general load of site as there is so much going on we learned a lot about page load optimization. There are various hidden sections to explore including hotspots on the featured products, video demos of products, the X-Ray woman, and a lot more so take your time on it!
